Naomi
Naomi was born in the city of Christchurch, New Zealand - and though has travelled throughout the country and Australia, has spent the majority of her life in Canterbury so far.

She has always loved photography, and as a child had her entire bedroom wall plastered with cutouts from calendars, magazines, newspapers etc. The passion really set in after winning a Web Design competition in high school, and she promptly used the winnings to purchase her first digital camera.
Not long after, that quickly progressed into upgrading cameras several times up to SLR's after taking up a challenge from a friend - To attempt to get at least one photograph of every New Zealand bird. This challenge proved to be a lot more difficult than first expected, and she also became a lot more passionate about succeeding than originally expected also!
This challenge has taken her many places all around the country - and along the way the opportunities to photograph the breathtaking scenery of New Zealand are endless!

The passion of photography is now well embedded - A dream to "Photograph the World" - from macro, to the rising moon.

Well hello! I have FINALLY managed to semi-complete my site, and get it uploaded! So proud of myself lol. It's not quite finished as yet, but I've got the basics under control anyway! Next I need to get the gallery added, and then I can work on my Bird site and get that uploaded too!

So 2012 is finally here! Lots to do this year... hopefully lots of exciting things, and new things happening!
To celebrate the New Year, I went with Stewart down to Queenstown. Sadly there is not a lot happening around the Christchurch area lately - particularly not for New Years, and I guess the majority of Christchurch people who wanted to celebrate went elsewhere this year (probably mostly to Queenstown!). There was a fair crowd of people there, and it by far was probably the best New Years I have ever experienced - So much fun! And the fireworks were amazing! Definitely the best fireworks I have seen. Awesome atmosphere - a general feeling of happiness and excitement all around.
We also of course went up on the Gondola, and had a Luge ride! So much fun. Also got some great photo opportunities, both in Queenstown and during the trip down there! We had AMAZING weather for the trip - Was a high of at least 28° for New Years Eve, and 25° for New Years Day.

We also had a wonderful Christmas - celebrated with all of the family (both mine and Stewarts).. and on Boxing Day Stewart took me for a "mystery drive" for a picnic lunch - We ended up at Lake Tekapo.. which was absolutely stunning! Leftover Christmas Dinner and bubbles on the shores of the lake! Then we went for a drive up to the Mt John Observatory, which was awesome - Such views!! Now I must go there again sometime, at night, to see all the stars!
